Animal Welfare League of South Australia (AWL) cares for and re-homes around 12,000 surrendered, lost and abandoned animals, every year. That’s 27 cats, dogs and rabbits each day.
Established in 1964, AWL operates a shelter at Edinburgh North, with a brand new Animal Care Centre opening in mid-2020 at Wingfield.
AWL's focus is re-homing lost, surrendered and abandoned animals and reuniting lost pets with their owners.
AWL receives no government funding and relies on contributions from amazing people like you to continue its vital work.
