Entertainment Group is proud to launch Gathering for Good, a cross-sector initiative bringing together business leaders, philanthropists, charities and community partners to explore new ways to create meaningful social impact.
Mediaweek recently featured the initiative, recognising the need for fresh approaches at a time when charities and fundraisers continue to navigate cost-of-living pressures and donor fatigue.
The inaugural Gathering for Good event was held at OTTO Ristorante in Sydney, where leaders across the finance, health, corporate affairs, hospitality and not-for-profit sectors came together for a candid conversation about the future of giving.
The event was designed to be more than a networking lunch. It created space to share ideas, build connections and consider how business, technology, hospitality and fundraising can work together to support the causes Australians care about.
Giving back has always been part of Entertainment’s story. Since 1994, the Entertainment community has helped raise more than $112 million for over 50,000 fundraisers. Through eligible membership purchases, 20% is directed to a nominated cause—helping schools, charities and community groups turn everyday enjoyment into meaningful support.
Gathering for Good builds on that long-standing commitment. It is about finding new opportunities to make giving feel accessible, relevant and sustainable—while strengthening the partnerships that help communities thrive.
As CEO Heidi Halson shared with Mediaweek, social impact is no longer an optional extra for business. It is an important part of how organisations lead, connect and create lasting value.
