Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast

Better than I EVER imagined.

Gosh where do I start. As busy parents of 4 kids under 5, my wife and I barely catch-up a break. Wet n Wild provided that today, but more than that, the kids absolutely loved it.

I must have been here 20 times over the years, spending almost all of my time enjoying the big slides with mates, but coming back for the first time with the kids was incredible.

The Junior play area is way underrated, with the pirate ship bigger than most and adorned with slides itself, the lagoon area, the bridge, and the 10 kids only slides…. Just amazing.

There’s heaps of shade and tables around and you can order food from your phone and skip the queue for pickup.

What I found most impressive was the staff. Friendly, kind and professional. They actually didn’t let older kids ride the slides because they were too big. Finally a park that endorses and protects young kids play areas

Could not recommend highly enough, as year ticket holders, we’ll be back plenty more.

First listed when I was 13 now bringing my kids, still a great place and a whole bunch of fun new memories. Visiting in mid-winter is a different experience ( no lines tho). A lot of the park is closed, which I guess is why the tickets are slightly discounted. Would be great if there were some sort of heated air rooms at the ends of the park. I think it would make the winter times much more viable. Also, carrying up the 4-person tube alone with 2 kids under 12 for the 🌪  very, very difficult and dangerous. Maybe that needs to be improved. Otherwise, a great day out.

Have so much fun doing day trip away with friends in here. Sadly a couple slide was under maintenance when we went there on May 2024. Hopefully that back open now.
They also provide lockers to lock your belongings.
Mostly the staff also friendly.

Not bad. A full day with a four year old. Limited rides for the younger ones as most rides are height restricted. Brought our own food. Then splurged a little on something small. The make your own ice cream cone was great.

Good day out, albeit cool. There are 7 “larger” types of water slides operating.

Pros
- Short queue’s in winter
- The showers are hot & have heaps of pressure.
- Plenty of space to find a seat.
- Adequate dinning options (although much us shut).
- While not applicable to us, consideration had been given to odd sized groups.
- Can bring in outside food and drink.

Cons
- The wirpool springs, which the app claims are “heated during the cooler months” did not feel heated.
- Were training a lot if new lifeguards, which is understandable. Issue was they needed to wear a harness on some rides. The harness is not designed for quick turnaround so much time was spent standing at the top watching the new lifeguards learn how to put on the harness (and they were swapping every few riders).

Suggestions for visitors
- Be aware the Tornado requires carrying a large tube up stairs. It is possible for 1 adult to do this although arqward. Is not particularly safe for smalller kids to carry (even with 2) without an adult. Most, other water parks we've been to use a lift to get these tubes upstairs.
- Almost all the “big slides” need pairs. They do allow for odd numbers to have 1 slider go again and not loose place in queue, but if you were going to the park alone there would be little to do without joining up with another group.

Suggestion to park
- For new lifeguards, run a quick training with them on how to use the harness before they're sent out to the slides & have 1 spare so can swap around more efficiently.
- Clarify what is meant in the app by “heated in cooler months”. Either this doesn't extend to July… or the heating us very minimal.
- Improve signage (like have a line on the Tornado to stand behind). This became dangerous as, unlike other rides, apparently we were not to stand on the scale until called off the steps (despite the prior riders having gone). There is no sign or line indicating such. This meant we were made to go back to the steps (for about 5 seconds before being called forward…) resulting in everyone else on the steps including children holding large tube having to walk backwards down the steps - it was unessessrily dangerous. Just paint a line if its so important (it is also the opposite for the Mamoth Falls - where you are to stand on the scale when waiting, and other rides where it is important like Kaboom having a line).

Overall is a good day out if ok with the cooler conditions & enjoy water slides.
