Rottnest Fast Ferries

The whale watching was amazing!!! We saw the whales breeching!!
The crew helped maintained safety when the sea was choppy and guided us back to our seats so we can go out and find more whales.
The other guides also pointed out many blows from the whales.
Lower decks were safer. Highest deck not so safe when sea is choppy.
Advise for those who go for trip, please take seasick pills. Whale watching out in the sea - you need to manage your expectations that the sea will be choppy. I loved it and because it's not my 1st time I took seasick pills before on board the ship.
Oh and the transport pickup was a breeze! My hotel was very near the pickup point so it was very convenient! Driver who picked us from the hotel was very punctual. Please be on time and reach at least 15mins earlier.
The return transport was a different driver and we reach back quite fast.

Our experience with Rottnest Fast Ferries was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the customer service was top-notch. The counter staff were incredibly helpful — friendly, efficient, and patient in answering all our questions. They made the check-in process effortless and set the tone for a great trip.

A special shout-out to our driver, Terry, who went above and beyond to assist us with our drop-off. His warm attitude and helpful nature really stood out and made our journey that much smoother.

The ferry ride itself was comfortable, clean, and well-managed, with everything running right on schedule. It was such a pleasant experience that we actually decided to come back for the whale watching tour, and once again, the service and care we received were just as impressive.

Rottnest Fast Ferries truly delivers exceptional service from pickup to drop-off. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rottnest Island — we’ll definitely be travelling with them again!

tl;dr: Ferry service was amazing but I fell for one of their many upsells in their website: renting bikes together with the ferry ride.

Didn't manage to get the bikes, my fault, but I'm very disappointed I didn't get back my 70 dollars.

DO NOT rent bikes with them if you do not have the time to go through their process.

We booked a ferry ticket and got upsold by their website (has A LOT of upsells btw. It's like 3-5 pages of upsells before you get to the checkout page. Very unpleasant user experience) to throw in a bike rental for 2 which costs 70 AUD.

My mistake is that I didn't read through the mechanics of how you are to get the bikes, which was very troublesome. You'll have to claim the bikes before you ride the ferry and then take it to the ferry.

I didn't read through the mechanics on how this bike rental works and just assumed that it's gonna be there in the ferry.

I asked for a refund, explaining that we are already in the ferry and didn't manage to get the bikes.

They refused to give me a refund because of their terms, which I totally understand. The customer service representative was nice and straightforward (shoutout to Amberley).

Leaving a 2-star review because I fell for their upsell, wasted 70 dollars, and I'm upset. I'll book ferry tickets with them again, but I won't avail of their other services.

I enjoyed the boat rides to and from Rottnest Island. Nice and relaxing, and good to see the views.

Very well priced too, and the bike and snorkel hire were very good too.

I booked whale watching tour that included the pick up from city center. They even update you the day before about the weather and allow you to reschedule. My experience was friendly, punctual, clean and comfortable. Although weather was not the best, we still enjoyed our time and saw the whales!

Definitely must do when you’re in Perth :)
