TGI Fridays

Steak was one of the best I've had in awhile pretty impressed! Salad was great nice and crisp with a tasty dressing. The option for the thinner fries instead of the thick cut is great. Kids meals came fast!
Our server was lovely ( Thanks Sophie for the great service and for your patience with us all! )

Only lesser part was the music was alil loud to hear everyone at the table.

This is probably the most disappointing TGI Friday in Melbourne. The place is not much wider than a thought, too dark inside, and noisier than other places due to many birthday parties. The food is tasty, but the atmosphere feels more like a pub, which is a letdown.

Ordered both these meals. They are literally potato chips (they looked and tasted like red rock deli sea salt chips) with a tiny bit of garnish on the top. Waste of money. Also forgot our onion rings In the signature platter.

Our visit to TGI Fridays Fountain Gate left us extremely disappointed. The food and service, particularly from one waiter, fell short of our expectations. We're loyal patrons of the Chadstone branch, where everything has been consistently great, making yesterday's experience all the more disheartening.

Upon arrival, we were given a very low chair, prompting us to request a change due to a family member with back issues. The initial waiter dismissed us, claiming they were fully booked despite numerous empty tables. Thankfully, another staff member understood our situation and helped us relocate.

Moving on to the food, the same waiter took our order at 8:05 pm, and 15 minutes later, we received starters and drinks. However, the mains were served at 9:10 pm, leaving no time for dessert. While we enjoyed the chicken wings and fries, the rest of the food was disappointing. Our ordered well-done rump steak arrived rare, and the fries and  salad weee sitting in a lot of blood. Even after complaining and they corrected the order, the steak was burnt and we just had to eat. Additionally, the waiter dropped our fries and and we had to wait again. One of the mocktails didn’t have strawberries and it tasted horrible and they stated they had ran out of strawberries. The sizzling beef tower was accompanied by fresh and appetizing veggies, but unfortunately, the onions, pepper, and beef were submerged in a significant pool of water. The spacing between our individual orders was not considerable, making it challenging for us to dine together as a family while some waited for their orders.

The usual check-in on customer satisfaction was absent, leading us to believe there was a lack of accountability. While we understand that mistakes happen, it's crucial for the restaurant to uphold its standards, especially when patrons are paying for both the food and the overall experience. Though not our usual practice, we felt compelled to share our disappointment from what was meant to be a family dinner. I didn’t take many photos as l was exhausted but l have the potato boats from yesterday and from last time and you can make a comparison from our experience at the other branch.

Welcome change for TGI's. Significant improvement in food quality since my last visit 2-3 years ago. I had the Ultimate buyer. Cooked well and was delicious. Good portion size. Pricing on the upper side but the overall value for money was good. Bring back the free soft drink refills and I'll  be back every week!!
