The Heights Bar & Bistro

I haven't been to the heights for a while and this evening, I attended the quiz night which was alot of fun. I noticed they have a new and improved menu, it was long over due, a spruce up and I can confirm it's great! I had the aranchini and jalapeno poppers for starter and both dishes did not disappoint. For my main I decided to order off the specials board and my partner order the classic bangers and mash which was absolutely delicious. Every week you can find different specials on the chalk board to enjoy, but the new menu is also available everyday. Normally I am not one to have a dessert but boy oh boy am I glad I did, the American chocolate brownie with nuts, butterscotch sauce and chocolate ice-cream was delicious and I loved every bite. The chef Kushal has introduced some great new flavours and dishes to The Heights bar and Bistro and from this evening's dinner and amount of patrons it's evident that customers are coming back through the doors to try this new and improved venue. The wait and bar staff especially Esandi is attentive and always welcoming with a smile. I had a really enjoyable evening and I will definitely be back to try more dishes from the main menu, and whatever specials are on offer.

Hubs and I went last Saturday night and he had creamy garlic prawns which he said was really good. I had the Mediterranean chicken salad which was also really nice. Tender chicken.
Last night we went again and he had the steak with mash and said the steak was cooked perfectly. I had the snapper and chips with salad which was nice. I think the fish was a bit over but still nice flavour and I enjoyed the salad. The chips there are the best.
The place could definitely do with a spruce up and the front staff need to come out of their shell a bit but they’ll get there. We’ll keep coming 😊

Awesome new menu. Food was amazing. Fish tacos are the best! Cannot fault anything we had. Can’t wait to try more. Well done to the Chef 🌟👏

Stopped in for a quick bite on the way home today
Friendly staff and food was yummy.
I had a (very generous serving of) fried chicken wings which were delicious and my friend enjoyed the lamb cutlets very much.
Atmosphere a bit weird upon entry in as all the bar flies look up when you enter ( all sitting in a row right near entry door) but we went to a table and it was better there.

It’s a great place to stay, great atmosphere. But food…… we ordered Sunday Roast, shouldn’t be wrong, but it’s too salty, too much gravy, not really roasted, like normal steak, hard carrots, no pumpkin. We were not happy with food, but had it anyway coz too hungry.
