Conveniently located in The Victoria Hotel on Lt Collins St off Swanston Street, this restaurant is certainly one of my regulars. This establishment offers spacious seating with pretty calm, cozy & quiet atmosphere likely because of its perfectly refurbished interior in an old building. I have had many of those visiting families & friends who used to love staying in The Victoria Hotel right behind Tivoli Arcade for the proximity to Building 108 of RMIT University Business School back then, in those days. Therefore, dining in this restaurant to me is definitely full of fond memories indeed.

The experience was really fun and exciting and it leave me with an impression that this place is really a go to. I commend the chefs perfectly done medium rare steak 🥩 it was cohesively structured and well plated with the chips and salad. It gives me a cinematic vibes and it brings out a good place to share with friends and family. This must be one of your food trips and one of your lists. I love the desserts (tiramisu, crobble, basque) 🍨.It gives you the contrast of the sweetness and bitterness and sourness. Perfectly made. Made with perfection 💯

Apologies for overrating this place. There’s no zero stars review option. The food was incredibly salty ( chicken Munro ) and the lame excuse was it was marinaded in brine. It is unhealthy. Same issue with the mash and haloumi batter. And to top it the waiter was smiling and I had to remind twice to give feedback to the ‘chef’. Disappoint. Do it better. This is Melbourne. Hospitality begs better standards.

Lovely atmosphere, amazing great tasting food and the best service from our waiter Marco and the rest of the staff. We ate the steak before we could take a picture the night before. We highly recommend the breakfast buffet and the cheesecake. The whole place is amazing 🤩

Beautifully styled venue with great nightly specials. $26 for a garlic bread, main pasta and house wine is unheard of in this economy and for the price, no shortcuts in quality!

Staff were very helpful and personable, able to squeeze us in for a pre there dinner with no reservation on Valentine’s Day! We were very appreciative and despite a wrong pasta coming out, the staff were quick to give us options and honour our choices.

Will definitely be back!
