Karl Chehade Dry Cleaning

Very disappointed.    Had an expensive Pea Coat dry cleaned  by them and some faux leather trim (which was listed on the care label) was ruined.   I queried this with the State Manager who said it was a known issue with that material, and blamed the manufacturer.   If it was a known issue,  why did they clean my coat before warning me that it would be damaged?   I didn't even receive a refund for the cost of the cleaning.

They lost my trousers and took 4 weeks to replace. Multiple trips made to the store and no compensation.

EDIT REPLY:

The replacement trousers was ordered after you spent 1 week trying to find them. It shouldn't take 4 weeks to rectify the issue even with delays with shipping.

To claim I didn't make multiple trips is a lie. FIRST trips was to pick up my trousers which I was told their was a delay and they will arrive tomorrow. SECOND trip to pick up through your after hours collection. THIRD trip was when I addressed the issue with your staff and you finally realised they were missing. FOURTH trip was to pick up the replacement trousers. FIFTH trip to get measured and altered at a different store. SIXTH trip to pick up my trousers again. On top of this I had to constantly follow up to figure out what was going on.

Mistakes happen in any business which is completely understandable. However, having a customer wait 4 weeks to rectify the issue and providing a replacement pair is not considered compensation or good service in my opinion.

This place took over 4 months to do a wedding dress when given a time frame of 1-2months

Now this isn't the major issue. The issue is that we were never contacted upon completion of the dress like we were originally told we would be. We ended up calling the shop to be told "oh we usually don't call our clients when it's finished" okay so you just want to keep it there?

I was told that they usually just wait for us to collect it. And it's standard procedure not to contact a client unless they specificied. Well first of all I did. And second of all who wants to just leave their dry cleaning there especially when you've gone over time.

I’ve literally paid a man in Thailand to slap my clothes against a rock and received better service than they offer here. Karl Chehade is a chain and it’s obvious. I liken them to cold chips from KFC. They ruined my some of my favourite clothes and refused reimbursement. Do not go here. Go to a small business that cares, even a small amount about you.

I recently brought in a blanket that was labelled 'dry clean only'.  I advised the staff member that there were some small stains but unsure what. She told me that they make no promises to removing stains. I still went ahead and handed over the blanket. I had to wait  nearly 2 weeks before I could pick it up. The blanket was wrapped in plastic. I paid over $20.
On arrival home I unwrapped the blanket and it smelt disgusting, of dirty clothe and socks.
I had to air it outside on the clothesline, it has been over 24hours and the smell lingers. I am considering dousing the blanket in perfume!
Furthermore the stains remain as they were prior to the 'dryclean'.
Rubbish service , the blanket came back in a worse state. Please think again about using this business, I wish I could give this business 0 stars as my blanket is worse off since coming into contact with this business
